We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Superintendent with a minimum of 7 years of experience in ground up commercial construction to join our team.

  • History of strong management skills with the foresight to predict problems before they develop

  • History of strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors
  • Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications with a broad knowledge of all trades involved
  • Experience in concrete and pile supported foundations a must

The Superintendent’s essential function is to manage all elements of the project. Specifically:

  • Set up job trailer and see that all permits, labor notices, safety rules and regulations, and EEOC materials are posted and available
  • Ensure that the safety regulations and site housekeeping guidelines are followed by the employees and subcontractors
  • Maintain high standard of quality control at all times
  • With the Project Manager, coordinate material deliveries, heavy equipment scheduling and utilization, and subcontract work in accordance with progress schedule
  • Keep the progress schedule current, review schedule status and job costs at least once a month


  • Ensure all change orders are properly executed and indicated on the As Built drawings
  • Maintain inventory control over tools and equipment
  • Code and forward all receipts and shipping drays to the office weekly.
  • Document any missing or damaged materials on dray tickets
  • Attend preconstruction and construction meetings
  • Assist inspectors during onsite visits
  • Maintain good relationships wit inspectors, architects, subcontractors and other key people connected to the project
  • Assist Project Manager in estimating percent complete of each item for monthly invoicing and labor for job cost reports
  • Conduct material take offs before ordering items listed on the purchase order to ensure the correct amount of materials are available for installation
  • Prior to the architect/engineer submittal stage, thoroughly review shop drawings when they are issued and make sure Project Manager is aware of any issues
