We have been contracted to construct a new two-story police station for Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office 1st District located in Fat City on Hessmer Avenue. The building is approximately 14,000 square feet. It will include an exterior plaza, retail spaces, and a DWI holding area on the first floor. The second floor area will include offices, restrooms, a fitness room, roll call, interview and evidence rooms, and the 1st district sheriff’s squadron. The site will also contain a parking area surrounding the new building and new sidewalks and landscaping along Hessmer Avenue.

The building is a pile supported concrete foundation with a steel structure. The exterior of the building includes several complimentary finishes including a glass curtainwall system, aluminum composite panels, metal panels, and brick veneer. The building was designed by N-Y Associates, Inc. and includes Vivien Engineers as the mechanical/electrical consulting engineers and Mott McDonald as the structural engineer.

We have completed the test pile program and construction began mid November 2017 with completion in late 2018.
