Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, 1st District Station

This two story police station is located in Metairie. The building is approximately 18,500 square feet and includes an exterior plaza, retail spaces, and a holding area on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor area includes the sheriff’s squadron, offices, restrooms, fitness room, roll call, and interview and evidence rooms. The space also consists of a parking area surrounding the new building as well as new sidewalks and landscaping along Hessmer Avenue.

The building has a pile supported concrete foundation with a steel structure. The exterior of the building includes several complimentary finishes including a glass curtainwall system, aluminum composite panels, metal panels, and brick veneer. The building was designed by N-Y Associates, Inc. and includes Vivien Engineers as the mechanical/electrical consulting engineers, Mott McDonald as the structural engineer, and Alphonse Barcia III as the Landscape Architect.


Jefferson Parish Warehouse

Bridge City, Louisiana

This ground up construction project consists of a 49,300 square foot building that includes an office area and warehouse. The building, designed by ECM Consultants, is similar in style to the adjacent buildings owned by Jefferson Parish. The structure is a pre-engineered building on a pile supported foundation. The exterior of the building consists of metal panels on three sides, and the front facade has colored cmu/brick veneer integrated with the metal panels.

The interior of the facility consists of 3,400 square feet of office and customer service area and 46,600 square feet of warehouse area. The building warehouse area includes storage racks to house items typically used by Jefferson Parish’s Public Works Department and replaces their current facility on the Westbank. The warehouse includes a loading dock with a leveler and a truck ramp for easy access of deliveries and pick-ups. The office area has a pick up counter for items in the warehouse along with offices for the staff. New site drainage was installed along with a bioswale on the side property, new concrete paving, and landscaping to complete the exterior of the building.

Gretna Police Headquarters

Gretna, Louisiana

The City of Gretna’s new addition at the Gretna Police Headquarters is a three-story, 13,000 square foot building consisting of officer training quarters, executive and IT offices, conference rooms, a 911 call center, incident command rooms, and public and private restrooms for the police department. The exterior façade includes brick, pre-cast concrete panels, and stucco.


Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, 3rd District Station

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, 3rd District Station, located in Lower Estelle Plantation, houses the following: an evidence room, lieutenant offices, sergeant offices, district commander offices, and a storage facility on the first floor for vehicles, motorcycles, and boats. The colonial style building was designed to match the area’s architecture and has first and second floor porches at the entries. The exterior on the first floor is St. Joe brick and the exterior on the second floor is Hardie board siding. The building is provided with a backup generator to allow the JPSO departments to be fully operational during emergencies.


St. Bernard Parish Courthouse Square

Chalmette, Louisiana

This 23,000 square foot, 2 story, multi-use building is the St. Bernard Parish Courthouse Square Project.  This addition to the existing courthouse building expanded on the original holding cell area that was damaged during Hurricane Katrina. The addition also added offices for the Sheriff’s Department, Assessor’s Office, Clerk of Courts, and the Indigent Defender Board.


Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, 4th District Station

The new two-story, 5,300 square foot building is used as an emergency operating facility for the deputies of Jefferson Parish to help protect during hurricanes or any other natural disasters. Additionally, it will provide more security not only for the 4th district, but also for Zephyr field and LaSalle Park. This prefinished metal panel and brick building is located in the parking lot of Zephyr field.


Slidell Municipal Center, Building 2

Slidell, Louisiana

This addition to the City of Slidell contains the following: Building Safety and Permits, Planning, Engineering, City Prosecutor, as well as Cultural and Public Affairs. An atrium separates the three story building and is finished with cherry wood and prefinished aluminum guard rails. This is the main focal point of the building’s interior. Other highlights of the interior include 4 public restrooms, 6 personal restrooms, break rooms for all departments, copier/printer/fax/supply areas for all departments, as well as conference rooms and libraries. The building exterior is made up of a standing seam roof, colorful cement plaster, aluminum storefront, aluminum entrances, prefinished aluminum handrails, translucent roofing at the balconies, aluminum louvers, and fresh landscaping.


Slidell Municipal Center, Building 1

This building “foot print” totals 32,970 square feet and houses many sectors of city government. The first floor of the building is strictly a lobby for the stairs and elevator rising to the second and third floors of the building. The second floor contains city accounting, finance, and administrative offices. Moving up to the third floor, the council chambers, council offices, and, the city attorney’s office can be found.


Arabi Terminal – St. Bernard Port

The St. Bernard Port Dry Bulk Storage Facility is a 40,000 square foot warehouse that stores various products for Associated Terminals. The building has numerous overhead doors consisting of four 18’ x 18’ doors and two 30’ x 40’ doors. It has 20 foot high concrete perimeter walls that support the two metal buildings. It contains interior and exterior lighting, four concrete access ramps and a separate motor control center building.


Braithwaite Auditorium

Braithwaite, Louisiana

The new auditorium in Plaquemines Parish is equipped with a generator platform and a first floor finish elevation of nearly 19 feet above grade. The focal point of the structure is the assembly room suitable for removable seating of up to 264 people. The stage is located at the center of the South wall of the assembly room with male and female green rooms behind it. When entering the lobby from the porch, there is a concession stand/catering kitchen and restrooms.


Department of Health and Hospitals

This is a three story 66,00 square foot building that houses six agencies. An eight inch concrete slab supports the open frame structural steel building over 615 class B sixty foot pilings. In order to achieve the open design, over 1,600 field welded moment connections were installed.
